Continuing Modern Slavery Support for Councils

After just over nine years with LGP, I’ll be finishing up on 9 September. I wanted to let councils know that the Sustainable Choice team will continue to provide modern slavery support, with Eleni Skouloudis as your primary contact for advice, training and support from that date.

I’m very pleased to introduce Eleni, who brings extensive experience in modern slavery risk management, social procurement and supplier engagement. In her previous role as Social & Sustainable Procurement Lead at Transgrid, Eleni led work to assess and mitigate modern slavery risks, develop due diligence processes, support modern slavery reporting, and engage with suppliers to improve labour practices and human rights outcomes.

With more than 25 years of experience across social procurement, workforce development and sustainable procurement, Eleni is well placed to continue supporting councils as they strengthen their approach to modern slavery risk management.

On a personal note, it has been a real privilege to spend more than nine years with LGP, working alongside councils, suppliers and colleagues who care deeply about what procurement can achieve. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities, support, partnerships and friendships that have shaped my time at LGP, and for everything I’ve learned from the people I’ve had the opportunity to work with along the way.

I feel very fortunate to have been part of this work and wish everyone across the LGP community all the very best for the future.
